Choose by how the heel, arch and upper work together on your foot. A foam name or a recovery label alone cannot tell you which pair will fit better.

Look beyond the word plush
ROLL describes the S1 Slide as a structured, multi-density design. That gives you more to compare than a general promise of softness: pay attention to where the footbed cups the heel and meets the middle of your foot.
A soft initial impression does not reveal whether the contour stays comfortable as you stand and walk. Decide whether you want to retain this particular geometry or whether you are open to trying a different shape with a different upper.
Check upper hold without sacrificing arch placement
Start with your heel centered, then assess how naturally the upper rests over your instep. Walk at your usual indoor pace.
If you have to grip with your toes or repeatedly reposition your foot, the upper and footbed may not be working together for you. Recovery Slide adds an adjustable upper to this comparison.
Use that adjustment to refine hold, while checking that it does not pull your foot away from a comfortable position on the platform.
Compare one S1 model at a time
ROLL also sells other recovery-footwear formats. This guide uses the men's SUPERPLUSH S1 Slide, rather than the S1 Flipflop or Solace, because changing the upper changes the buying decision.
If you are moving away from a toe post, stay with slide-to-slide comparisons. Check each product's size guide and intended fit separately, even when both boxes carry the same numbered size.
Keep the S1 if its specific construction is your priority; compare VALSOLE when upper adjustment is part of the change you want.
Before you choose
Is this a comparison with every ROLL recovery shoe?
No. It focuses on the men's SUPERPLUSH S1 Slide. Specifications from the Flipflop, Solace or another ROLL model should not be treated as specifications for this slide.
Does BLOOM foam prove one pair will be more comfortable?
It identifies part of the S1's material specification. Personal comfort still depends on footbed placement, upper contact and fit. This guide does not report a comparative wear test.
What makes Recovery Slide worth comparing?
Its adjustable upper offers a different fitting option alongside a contoured footbed. Consider it if changing the way the upper holds your foot is a clear part of your decision.
